ETA CEO & Head Trainer 

Michael Bumpus is a former D1 football player who played for Washington State University. There, he was a 4-year starter, Freshman All-American and All PAC-10 in his positions as Punt Returner and Wide Receiver. During his time in The Paolouse he tallied 197 catches, 500 punt return yards and 3 punt returns for touchdowns-- all school records. His senior year he was voted a team captain by his peers. While at WSU he studied Human Development because of his love for working with the youth.

Following school, Michael signed as a free agent with the Seattle Seahawks. He was on the practice squad for 3 weeks before being promoted to the active roster. He scored a TD and lead the conference in punt return yard average in 2008. Shortly after his second season with Seattle, Michael signed with the BC Lions in Canada. In 2011, he decided to hang up the cleats and focus on player development. 

In addition to being owner of ETA and the founder of the ETA 7v7 Program, Michael is also the HC for MHS Varsity Football, and a sports analyst with ROOT Sports  and ESPN 710.

My goal as a coach/trainer is to encourage, motivate, and teach my clients indispensable knowledge during each session as we aim to achieve the goals you have. Precise movements, technique, and attention to detail will be the basis of every session as I will train your mind, body and soul. I focus on a plethora of exercises that promote strength, stamina, stability, performance, alignment, and mind/body connection.

Holistic health is the basis of my training philosophy regardless of if the person training is a highly developed athlete, or an average person working to live a healthier life. Ultimately, athlete or not, every person is a human being who must live life day to day. Therefore, I strive to bring a well balanced approach to my clients’ physical and mental needs. I am constantly researching new innovative ways to help improve my workouts and training methods in order to accomplish this goal. Technique, Core Strength, Mobility/Flexibility, Explosiveness, and Mental/Strength Acuity, are the pillars that I build my programming off of for both my athlete clients and fitness clients.

ETA CEO & Head Fitness Trainer

Jennifer Bumpus is a professional fitness instructor, as well as a mother to 3, Michael (8), Kobe (6) and Jada (4). She and her husband, Michael, own Elite Training Academy (ETA). ETA is recognized as one of the top professional fitness and athletic training facilities in the PNW.

Jen took over boot camps as head trainer in 2015. She enjoys working with all levels of fitness, beginner to advanced, and always looks to lovingly challenge her clients. Jen has trained over hundreds of women, and has created a unique space at ETA, with the creation of the Women-only boot camps.


She is best known for her success with her Get Fit program, an intensive 6-week fitness and nutrition accountability program guaranteed to get you results! She is also the creator of Booty By Bumpus- a booty building, sculpting and shaping, hip-hop blasting, and always poppin’, class.

She believes, fitness and nutrition are vital. Period. However, she believes in grace, seasons and sisterhood too. She is an intention-setting, goal-getting, hype-you-up every step of the way, trainer, mommy, wife and friend.
